Plan A & Plan B Plan Descriptions
The system consists of two plans. Which plan you are enrolled in is set by your employer; your tier depends on your date of hire.
Plan A
Plan A is a traditional defined benefit retirement plan.
Tier 1 covers members with a hire date from 1/01/55 to 12/31/12. Tier 2 covers members with a hire date from 1/01/13 onward.

Plan B
Plan B is a defined benefit plan integrated with Social Security.
Tier 1 covers members with a hire date from 1/01/55 to 12/31/12. Tier 2 covers members with a hire date from 1/01/13 onward.
